5cm per Second Review

Warning this review may contain spoilers
This review is for the movie 5cm per second, to start off this movie is slow-paced and slightly confusing with the sections but in the end it made sense. The story line is like your basic romance story with a twist this is what makes it so different compared to the typical romance, the story reminded me of the Clannad and Clannad After Story anime, and if you watch it the basic story is pretty similar. The story overall is detailed and quite cute when it came round to it. The animation was really cool, the scenery and character designs were really detailed and they fit the theme perfectly.  I can’t really say much other than the story was pretty rushed due to it being fit into a hour but that is just me.

The music is the only thing I can’t really remember much about, but when I did hear it the few songs in the background were cute and they again fit the theme just about perfectly, this is one thing that made the anime what it was. The characters for the ones they focused on were pretty well explained and each of the main characters story were truly amazing when it came to detail. There again isn't much to say in this case.
The overall movie was really detailed and I was shocked when I saw the detail in both the story and the characters, I was really impressed. I say if you liked the idea of a one-off slow-paced movie, just as an extra to watch this would be a perfect choice.

Pandora Hearts Review

This review may contain spoilers-

As you may know Pandora Hearts is one of my favourite and even though I want to fill this review with all positives I know that it probably wouldn't help you if you are planning to watch it. So anyway if you read the description you would know what this anime is about and so on... now lets start properley. First the story was amazing up until the last few episode where I think they ruined it a bit by changing the ending completely and in the end ruined the end of the anime for me (sadly). However most of the story kept quite close to the manga which made me happy and even though they change a few things the basic story was the same. This made it more enjoyable for me because that also meant that the end wasn't the complete end and if I wanted to carry on the story I just needed to read the manga (but this isn't meant to be all about me so I will stop here). Anyway the story had just about everything, it was just the ending that ruined it slightly.
The animation was different (a good different) compared to some of the 'mainstream' animes which I thought was pretty good. The character designs were amazing you can tell that they put as much detail as they could fit in (but isn't that a must have in the animation company).
Moving on, the music matched the style of the series amazingly and whoever pick the music should be proud because they matched the theme perfectly. The opening 'Parallel Hearts' captured the historical atmosphere quite well (as well as being really addictive). The first ending was again a perfect fantasy j-pop song, then the second ending was a nice way to finish off the series. Finally, The Lacie music box melody...this was a nice aspect to the series and with all the other music choices (insert songs and stuff) it fit in perfectly.
I felt that the characters matched perfectly with the type of anime it was but again most were really undeveloped, and the only advice I would give to those who want to go further than what the anime gives, read the manga.
Overall even though I love this anime so much, the ending was left wide open even though now we know there probably won't be a second series. Also the characters were undeveloped and if you really want it in much more detail you need to read the manga, I personally prefer it to the anime.

Noragami Review

Warning this review may contain spoilers-
Ok so now another one of my reviews for all of you to enjoy, hopefully! This time it is the Winter 2014 anime 'Noragami'. This action filled fantasy anime is quite recent (at the time I wrote this review). Now lets get started, first off the story is very detailed and cleverly put together however even in the best anime there are problems. First problem is that they left quite a few things open, there are many unanswered questions which hopefully if they make another series they would answer. The other thing is that they left the ending open, at this point I am not sure if they are going to make a second series or not however if they just leave it like that there will be many disappointed fans (including me).
The animation was just about perfect and I haven't got anything to complain about here. Also the opening animation really fit the theme of the anime and went well with the song. The music all matched up with the genres. However the ED music didn't captivate me as much as I expected. The insert songs played at the right moments...so there wasn't really much to complain about at all.

The characters were really undeveloped and again there were many unanswered questions which is really annoying being just about all the anime was amazing. I also liked how the characters personalities ranged and how they all grow along with the series. Overall this anime was near perfect however this anime had small problems. If you like a fantasy/action anime you should like Noragami!

Kore wa Zombie desu ka? Review

Warning this review may contain spoilers-

Yet another ecchi anime added to my list but I have to admit Kore wa Zombie desu ka? is probably the only ecchi so far that I actually enjoyed quite a bit compared to some of the other ecchi anime I have seen this actually made me laugh and had a slightly better story (I said slightly). So anyway the story was very enjoyable and like I mentioned the comedy bits actually made me laugh. Even though there was common ecchi moments, I actually thought this was one of the best ecchi/fantasy animes I have seen.
The animation was just about perfect, the style of art is perfect for the anime! The character designs are really detailed and the opening animation was amazing. (That is all on this section).
The music was very addictive, the opening caught my eye just about instantly and I found by the end of the series that this is probably the first time I haven't skipped through the opening (not including re-watches). The ending was cute and sweet, the insert songs were perfect for the scenes it was played in.
The characters are very likeable and you can easily feel sympathetic for them in certain parts in the story (I felt for EU the most probably). However, most of the characters needed to be developed more but I also liked the mystery in some of the characters past but I guess they get developed more in the second series.
So again another short review nearly done, to finish up I loved just about all of it, I found that it was cleverly put together and the end of the arc was pretty much summed up except a few unanswered questions. I am looking forward to series 2...so for now I will leave you with this-

Hataraku Maou-sama Review

Warning this review may contain spoilers-

I loved this series, the whole idea was really interesting and I couldn't wait to get started. So lets start...first of all the storyline was a unique one and was full of comedy elements. (I admit that it made me laugh a couple of times) but even when they got (slightly) serious there are comedy elements which I thought was pretty clever. However the only thing that really bothered me was the ending, they left it open completely! I know at this point in time there are possibilities of a second series but still. So that is all on the story.

Next the animation (like normal I haven't got much to say on this), I liked it, the character designs were amazing and the overall scenery was pretty impressive...my final point on this is the opening animation, I just loved it how they used clips featured in the episodes before to create the 1st opening (in a way), I also loved how they then introduced the official opening! Clever way to use previous episodes in my opinion.

Now the music, as I mentioned in the last paragraph I loved the opening and the only way to get a really good opening if you match a amazing song with the animation which they did perfectly. It was a catchy song and highly enjoyable. The ending on the other hand didn't really intrigue me (sadly).

The characters are all completely different in personalities which I think is important (well it has to be). Just about all the main characters had a loveable side to then (even Lucifer). I don't really have anything to complain about other than they really needed to be developed more.
Overall this was an over average series it had an amazing opening song but the ending wasn't as interesting. The characters had a wonderful contrast with each other however the ending was left open and that really annoyed me. On a more positive note if you like a fantasy, comedy thing then you should enjoy this!

Gosick Review

Warning this review contains spoilers
So another review for you all to enjoy, this time it is on the Victorian Mystery anime 'Gosick'.  Now the story I felt was very detailed and completely different to that I normally watch. I loved how they based each story arc on a ghost story, I found that that was cleverly done. Also the arc at the end was well built up throughout the series and the ending summed up the series perfectly in my opinion.
The animation was well done for the type of series it was and was very detailed.
The music was amazing, the opening is now one of my favourites, it grabbed my attention straight away. I believe the opening captured the essence of the series perfectly and the 1st ending lived up to that expectation. However I didn't find the 2nd opening that interesting and was a bit of a let down compared to the opening and 1st ending. The insert music was alright.

The characters surprisingly were well developed, well most of them. I think that the creators of this anime did a good job when it came to the characters but there were some which were loosely developed this is why the characters didn't get a 10/10. I found that most characters were likeable throughout the series.
Overall I personally loved this series and I highly recommend it to people who like mystery and drama. The ending arc was sweet and like I said summed the whole series up very well. It is now one of my new favourites.

Dragon Crisis Rview

Warning this review contains spoilers-

Again this was another anime recommended to me by a friend, like 07 ghost. The story was very simple and average. It wasn't very different to the many harem anime that I have watched and come across, the only main different was this harem and others was that it was between a human and a bunch of mythical creatures.
The story was also slightly expected in most cases, the only bonus was that the ecchi parts were small. The animation again was pretty simple in my eyes, that is all I have to say  in this section.
The music was much better than the anime itself, sadly. The opening gave me slight hope that the anime would be better than it actually was , which was disappointing. The ending on the other hand didn't appeal to me but it was cute.

To me the characters were very undeveloped for example  Maruga, after the problen with George we didn't get to know her very well at all in my opinion, even in the end we only found out a couple of things about her and Onyx. Even the main characters weren't as developed enough, we didn't get to know Ruuji's parents either, they say a couple of lines at the end but other than that we don't really know anything.
Overall it was a very simple, as I mentioned the ecchi parts were limited which was a good thing as you may know I don't like ecchi very much. However the characters clearly weren't developed enough like I also said. I think this was the the weakest point in the whole anime.
